The King's School, Grantham is delighted to celebrate an outstanding year of examination success, with students achieving the strongest results the School has seen in recent years.

These achievements are a testament to the hard work, commitment and determination of our students. Their willingness to embrace learning, seize the many opportunities available to them, and invest additional time and effort in their studies has enabled them to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Equally, these results reflect the dedication of our teaching and support staff, who continually go above and beyond to provide the highest quality education and a wealth of opportunities beyond the classroom. Through their expertise, encouragement and unwavering commitment, they help our students develop not only academically, but also personally, preparing them for the next stage of their journeys.

GCSE Results 2026

This year's GCSE cohort achieved the School's strongest results in six years and should be immensely proud of their accomplishments.

Nearly two-thirds of all grades awarded were 9, 8 or 7, with almost a quarter achieving the top grade of 9. An impressive 97% of students secured five or more strong passes, including English and Mathematics.

Congratulations to all 177 students who received their results this summer. Whether continuing their studies at King's Sixth Form or pursuing opportunities elsewhere, they have given themselves an excellent platform for future success.

A Level Results 2026

Our sixth form students also celebrated a remarkable set of results, achieving the School's strongest A Level outcomes in seven years.

Nearly three-quarters of all grades were awarded at A* to B, while more than four in ten grades were achieved at A* or A. Forty-four students secured at least three A grades or higher, highlighting the exceptional academic strength of this year's cohort.

These achievements have opened doors to a wide range of exciting opportunities. Nine students will be progressing to Oxford and Cambridge, while seven have secured places to study Medicine. Every student has earned their place at the next stage of their education, training or career.

As our largest-ever sixth form cohort moves on to universities, apprenticeships and professional pathways across the country, we could not be prouder of everything they have achieved.
